Hilton Hotels & Resorts Reveals Ultimate #WorkPerk: Travel

I just read this info and find it fascinating. I bring workout clothes when I travel for business but use it every time. I made a commitment a few years back that for every night I spend in a hotel, I’ll work out one time in the hotel gym. Two nights…two workouts. I can’t wait to be able to secure a room at a Hilton property with the Five Feet to Fitness equipment!

According to new research conducted by the Hilton Hotels & Resorts Brand Communications and Marketing team, many of today’s young business travelers look forward to earning the ‘road warrior’ moniker, and 75 percent of young professionals in the U.S. see business travel as a major work perk.

How much do they love it?

  • Travel or bust: 39% of young professionals wouldn’t take a job that didn’t allow them to travel for business
  • Give me a break! 62% of parents create reasons for business travel, with 75 percent saying it gives them a break from life at home
  • Points, points, points: 74% say airline miles and hotel rewards are one of the best perks of business travel, a “Bonus Point” for our Hilton Honors members – no matter the tier level.

But that doesn’t mean that traveling for business always comes easy. Some top stressors include:

  • Maintaining a wellness routine: 65% of business travelers regularly pack workout clothes and shoes, but end up not using them, making programs like Five Feet to Fitness especially relevant to this group.
  • Figuring out what to pack: Over a third (36%) are stressed by making sure they pack the right clothes for any situation
  • Taking advantage of being in a new city: 54% want to extend a trip, but aren’t sure how their boss will react

Happy travel,

Veronique
